In 1998 it was love at first sight.

Stepping out of the taxi and onto Shoal Bay East, Anguilla I knew that I had found paradise. The silky white sand met a sea with ever-changing infinite shades of blue. Looking down the beach to the right, the sand curved out to a point where a small grove of palm trees swayed. Although the first visit was only a day trip, I vowed to come back. A few years later I returned and have done so every year since. It is not only the beauty of the sand and the water that calls one back to this island, it’s the warmth and kindness of the people.

I love being reminded of that peace and happiness. I create my Treasure Charms, Coast•ers, and Bracelets so everyone can have a piece of their favorite beach close by.

Treasure Charms® Set in hand painted wooden treasure chest.

Anguilla is where I first started collecting small amounts of sand so that I could feel close to my favorite beaches even when I was far away. On a chilly, blustery day in 2019 it came to me that I could, I should, create something to enjoy that sand everyday. At our kitchen table the first set of cocktail glass charms were crafted and Nama•sand® was born.
